'MY VISIT' - A NEW BOOKLET FOR CHILDREN
pact has launched an exciting new booklet for children visiting a parent or relative in prison.
The booklet, entitled 'My Visit', explains the visiting experience to children using brightly coloured pictures and easy-to-understand words, thanks to the help of author and illustrator Andy Ellis. There are spaces for children to draw pictures with their mum or dad.
For many children, visiting prison can be a frightening, confusing or distressing experience. The 'My Visit' booklet is designed to take away the fear, and to make visiting mum or dad a positive time.
We piloted the booklet at HMP Wormwood Scrubs and are now offering it for sale to prisons across the UK.
