One Donation, Double the Impact: The Big Give 2021

The Big Give 2021 is coming!

This Winter, Pact is working with the Big Give to help you double the impact of your donation. This means that for every pound you donate, our champion The Voluntary Solidarity Fund will match-fund the amount up to £2,500. Donate £100 and the amount will be doubled to £200.

Our campaign opens on November 30th 2021, 12:00pm until December 7th 2021, 12:00pm.

It goes without saying that those who choose to support us financially are a huge part of why we are able support to prisoners, people with convictions, and their families across England and Wales. This year’s campaign is specifically raising funds for our Emergency Welfare fund and will be used to support children and families affected by imprisonment.

Our Welfare Fund helps to provide emergency support to assist with the purchase of items such as food, appliances, clothing, toiletries, school supplies and other essentials. Service users are referred by the Pact team, and Pact arrange the purchase of items as needed. The fund was established in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and in 2020-21 saw over £70,000 in grants given to over 459 applicants.

Children with a parent in prison are the hidden victims of crime. As well as facing the trauma of separation (95% of children whose mothers are in prison must leave their family home) many children with a parent in prison live in poverty and face further disadvantages in terms of their education and health.
