Training for schools

Hear Our Voice: Supporting Children Affected by Imprisonment in Schools is a CPD-accredited session for schools and professionals working with children and young people. The course explores:

  • the scale of children impacted by imprisonment in England and Wales
  • how children are affected when a loved one goes to prison
  • how the media and social media impact children and young people affected by imprisonment
  • schools' role in combatting stigma and shame surrounding familial imprisonment
  • how to talk to children about imprisonment and how they would like to be supported
  • how working with Pact helps to support children and their families

Training for prison staff

Safeguarding Children and Families is a CPD-accredited course for prison staff. During the session, we explore:

  • how to recognise signs of abuse in adults and children
  • your safeguarding responsibilities
  • safeguarding legislation and processes
  • risk factors for children and vulnerable adults
  • how to respond to and report a safeguarding concern

Hear Our Voice - Supporting Families with a Loved One in Prison examines the impact of imprisonment and separation on families, children and society. The session explores:

  • how the media and social media impact families
  • your role in combatting the stigma and shame of imprisonment
  • how you can work with people in prison to support the family as a whole

Training for probation practitioners

Hear Our Voice - Working with the Families of People on Probation is a CPD-accredited course offering probation practitioners insight into the benefits of working with families.

The session explores:

  • the impact of imprisonment and separation on families, children and society
  • the needs of families impacted by imprisonment
  • how partnership working can benefit people on probation and their loved ones
